Unplanned Movie Trip

I was bored at home since Shirley is going out at night. I suddenly have the urge to go out also. I called Vince if he is free to go out since I know Guoy might be sleeping. Vince was busy with DOTA at that time and said he would call me once he is done.

He finished DOTA bout 7.30pm and he also called Guoy who was still sleeping. I said its ok to let him sleep more. There was only me, Vince and Sam. We then head off to 1 Utama. When we arrived there, we head off to the arcade first for Sam wanted to play Initial D but unfortunately the arcade was already close.

We then thought of watching movie but the earliest was 9.15pm and it was already 9pm and we haven't had our dinner yet. It was a slow drive to 1 Utama from Sunway which explains why we got there so late. We then head off to KFC since Sam suggested to eat KFC.

Once after dinner, we did some shopping for small stuff then head back to the cinema to see if there is any movie to watch. When we reach the counter, we decided on Blades of Glory but the only seat left was front row seats which we didn't want. We then landed watching Priceless. It was a French movie.

It was kinda lame to me. The story : It was bout a girl who fancy rich man to get his money but flirts around. She was caught cheating on the rich man. She was then angry with the bar-tender whom she was caught cheating with. The bar-tender fell-in-love with her instantly and wanted to court her. She drain every penny out of him before leaving him. He was left in debts with the hotel but was saved by a rich lady who took him in. The girl on the other hand has found a new sugar daddy. They then exchange notes on what they manage to drain their partner out of. But in the end, the girl realized all she wanted was the bar-tender.

It is such a common story in normal life. So it was kinda boring but the things they do are funny though. The making love part was kinda interesting when they were kissing and setting the mood. When it was to start, as you know, it was then cut out. Haih...Over rall, not worth watching in the cinema.

This is what turn out of an unplanned movie trip. I'm going to plan my next movie. There are so many movie in line. Haih...Starting with Blades of Glory, Pirates of the Carribean, Shrek 3, Transformer, Surf Up and maybe The White Man (Singaporian movie). With the list, I think I'm consider broke for the next month and so on -_-"

My IT Industrial Training

After nearly 2 months being tied to the school in Puchong for industrial training, I think today can be considered the most progressive day. I was suppose to do my IT industrial training in a company but I can't get attached to any company since my programme just told us bout it 2 weeks before we were suppose to go for training. I had asked them so many times in the last semester but they do not seem to have any idea when I have to do my training. Since it was kinda last minute, I can't get attach to any company, I asked my programme to arrange a place for me.

In the end, I was placed in a secondary school in Puchong with another 2 friends to do their school network for them. Besides that, who wouldn't want it since we were free labour. We do not get any allowance to travel to the school also. Due to that, my group members are re-taking some subjects this semester to clear the subjects they fail. So I'm not required to be in the high school everyday to work.

Since reporting ourselves in the school, the progress was kinda slow. I have to design a network for them but when I asked them bout the budget, it was to be RM1000 maximum. What am I to do? That is the cost of a basic network. Lucky for me for I asked them directly to tell me how much they are willing to spend and not come up with a proposal that goes beyond their budget and I have to redo everything.

After talking to the teacher in charge of the Ko-kurikulum activities, I have to come up with where to put the wires and what material they need. Once done that, they agree with my proposal and it was put in motion. We had a delayed for they have no money to pay us to get the materials. We have no choice but to report back to our lecturer who send us for our industrial training. They both discuss on it and it was decided that the school would get the materials themselves and when the material arrives, he is to call us to go fix up the wiring.

Today when we went, we were told we do not need to fix the wiring. We are to guide and show the wire-man where to put and connect the RJ-45 cables. All we have to do was clamp the wire and test that it is working. It took us a while to realize how come our cables are not working. The clamp we borrowed from one of our lecturer can't clamp tightly. We have to clamp a few times to make sure the head of the connector and the wires are connected. I have a tough time for I forgot to double check the sequence of the cables to be clamp. There have to be some trials and error before we got it right. Leaving it to my 2 members are horrible. We use the existing cable as a guide and they can see wrongly the color arrangement. My my my...

It was kinda fun to clamp the cables and it was a good learning process. I wonder is this what we are to do when we graduate and come out to work? I doubt so...Unless we are working in the computer shops in IT centers. If not, it is the work of the technicians. But it was fun. The only thing that pisses me off is, the teacher always ask us to go at the time when he has other engagement and we are to wait at least an hour for him. That is the only bad side of it and also he is very flickle minded. Since day 1, he has changed what he wants so many time. But as long it is within his budget, it is not my business to care.
