My Holiday to Kuching - Day 3

I do not know why but I woke up early today. But it can be said a good things also. My Goddaughter came over with her grandparents today. Even it was only for a while, it was nice to see her. I manage to snap some picture of her and also some warm picture of her bonding with her mummy, Merlye. Hahaha... and I felt happy that she love the RUSIG rocker. Surprisingly, she loves the Air Asia sticker which was stick to the rocker =.=

After playing a while, she followed her grandparents back as Merlye need to rest after her surgery. The first stop for the day was to Kim Jo shop for Cheng me again. Hehehe...I can never get bored with the nice noodle ^_^ Melissa, Merlye's friend came and join us for lunch. After lunch we head back home as Geoffrey needs to rest. He has 3 ulcers at his throat.

Since Geoffrey is resting at home, Merlye took us out. We head to get some groceries with her and also some toiletries. Since we are out, Merlye took us to try the 5 layer tea. Yummy!!! and also their Dim Sum. It tastes different from those found back in KL. After a nice meal, I went to a shop which is like Living Cabin and bought some things to decorate my house. Once done, we went with Merlye to get her things. Once that is done, we head home to rest.

It was then I had fun watching my Godson and taking more pictures of him. It was evening and Geoffrey and Merlye took us out for dinner at a home cook house restaurant. At this place, the lawn is turn into a so called picnic area where they serve nice Western food. It is quite a popular place as there are not enough seats for everyone. The meal was nice and after the meal, Geoffrey went home first while Merlye took me and Senan out for yum cha.

We went to this cafe where the environment was relaxing and nice. Me, Merlye and Senan sat there having our nice drinks and chatting the night long. It was so nice that time flies so fast. Without realizing it, it was close to midnight and we head back to rest.

My Holiday to Kuching - Day 2

I wake up to a phone call. It was from Tommy who called. Since he woke me up, I got ready and when Merlye knock on my door, I'm set to go out ^_^
First thing we did was had lunch which was Colok Mee ^_^ Yummy!!! After lunch, we went to shop for pottery. The pots here are cheap. I bought myself a so called stationary set and a "Cat" cup ^_^ I bought some souvenirs for my colleagues too ^_^ After shoping, we head off to Jo's Crocodile Farm. Ah Jo came and join us with Juliana. Umm...this crocodile farm do not belong to Ah Jo but so happen they have the same name ^_^

We reach there and took picture with the Legendary Crocodile statue. Oh My...the statue is made of stone and when I sat one it, ouch!!! It's hot!!! After some photo session with the crocodile, Ah Jo arrive in his Hilux. Hahaha...We need Ah Jo to get some discount but failed. It seems that there is a price difference for local and visitors. Even the IC has an initial to show whether they are local or visitor. Hmmm....Unfortunately for Merlye, after being married and stayed there for 2 years, they take her as a visitor. Besides that, she needs a Visa to stay there =.=

Once inside, I took a lot of pictures especially during the jumping crocodile show where the crocodile jump to eat their meal which is half the chicken hanging on a string. Hahaha... It was amazing and the crocodiles are scary. The trip was cut short as it started to drizzle. Merlye and Geoffrey went off first as Merlye wanted to have her hair wash and blow. We then head off in Ah Jo's big monster truck to meet them in Ray's. At Ray's, I suddenly have the itch to trim my hair and got my hair trim by no other the Director, Mr Ray himself ^_^ Hahaha...never had I receive such VIP treatment before ^_^

After the nice hair cut, we head back to rest before dinner. Let me think what I had for dinner. Ooo...went to Taman Letak Kereta food court. Hahaha...cute name right. It was there we had a nice dinner. There are seafood place outside the store for you to choose. I think it can be consider a seafood paradise ^_^ They have this special vegetable call Bilin@Paku Pakis. Unfortunately they finish it before we can order so no Bilin for us. But the food that was ordered is delicious.

After the nice dinner, we went to the opposite side of the river to the Malay Kampung to get Kuih Lapis @ Traditional Layer Cake. There are so many variety where we can test before buying them. I bought 2 boxes for myself and one more for King. Hahaha...me, Merlye and Senan pick it for him as he called thinking Woon Shen is with us and ask for souvenir ^_^ Unfortunately Woon Shen couldn't join us as he had to go off-shore for work =.= After getting the kuih, we meet up with Merlye's other friends at Starbucks and have a nice drink and chat ^_^ It was bout midnight when we went back to rest.

My Holiday to Kuching - Day 1

After a long wait, finally July the 3rd arrive ^_^ Today is the day where I bought my ticket to visit Merlye. Hehehe... and I just can't wait for see both my Goddaughter and my Godson ^_^ I woke up early and finish off my packing while waiting for Tommy to get ready to send me to the airport. Once all set, Tommy gave me the bad news. His car "Rosak" =.= But that was just the down part of it.

With him driving, I do wonder how he manage to reach there at 8.50am when we left at 8.05am. I remember Senan telling me that he is leaving at 7.30am from his place which is nearer from the Seafield toll to LCCT but he arrive just as I reach the toll of KLIA exit =.= I seriously wonder how fast is Tommy driving. After checking in my luggage which include the RUSIG rocker which I couldn't find a box to carry, me and Senan went to Marybrowns and have breakfast.

After a nice filling breakfast, we went in to the departure hall and heard our names being called for boarding and it was only 9.05am when our flight is at 9.45am. So much for last call =.= All went well and we flew off to Kuching in AirAsia flight AK5204. While we were in the plane, the air stewardess handed me a form to fill. It is a health care form =.= What am I to fill for the last country I embarked. Or which country did I last visit =.= Am I going to be quarantine since I'm from Malaysia and there are a few cases of H1N1??? Lucky me, when I arrive at Kuching, I pass the inspection ^_^

This is call the smartness of the "Cat". While waiting for the luggage, I was a bit worried on the rocker. It was as though the people read my mind, the first item that came out of the conveyor belt was no other than the RUSIG rocker. I can see people's puzzle look when it came out. Yes, yes, I'm a weirdo who carry the RUSIG rocker all the way from IKEA Damansara to Kuching for my cute Goddaughter ^_^ All these would be gone when I see how happy my Goddaughter is when she plays with it ^_^

After collecting our luggage, we head out to wait for Merlye. So happen she was just discharge from the hospital after her appendix removal surgery. She can't take any solid food and need lots of rest so our trip to Damai was cancelled. It was bout lunch when we arrive and we head off to Kim Joo restaurant (If I didn't remember the restaurant name wrongly) for Cheng Mee. It was delicious.

After lunch, we head back to rest till evening. It rained unfortunately and we left our shoes outside. Oops...Yup, the shoes were soaking wet and I didn't bring any slippers so I have to make do with Merlye's slipper. Luckily I can fit even it was slightly smaller than my feet size =.= After a home cooked dinner, we head out to Hilton for yum cha. The word mamak doesn't exist in Kuching as everyone goes to Cafe to yum cha.

Hilton was nice but I was surprise it was not too pricy. RM9 for a pot of tea is not that expensive. I had Vanilla Rose Tea while Senan had Hand Roll something tea which came in a bowl. Hahaha...and Senan drank it like he is the Emperor ^_^ Geoffrey, Merlye's husband ordered a cup of Hot Chocolate where the milk is separated from the chocolate. The chocolate is roll up like love letters. The chocolate roll looks delicious but I can't have chocolate as it's too heaty for me ^_^

It was close to 11pm when Merlye and Geoffrey went home to rest. She handed Ah Jo the responsibility to take me and Senan round to see Kuching's night life ^_^ What is there other than pubs. Hahaha... We went to Soho but it was quite empty. Ah Jo and Rolland paid for the bottle of Chivas and you can see how we struggle to pour the drink out. It was like an invinsible stopper is there to stop the liquor from coming out. Finally we had the liquor pouring and also the games. Without playing, I was high on my fourth glass of alcohol where I stop a while but Senan is good. He was playing and downing half the glass non stop but still not high nor drunk. It took us bout 2 hours to finish the entire bottle and head off to another pub.

Unfortunately that pub was pack and we didn't go in but head to another pub. When we reach the other pub, it was closing so we call it a night. Ah Jo drop me and Senan back to Merlye's house and call it a night.
