Boss's Expectation

A butcher watching over his shop is really surprised when he sees a dog coming inside the shop. He shoos him away. But later, the dog is back again. So, he goes over to the dog and notices it has a note in its mouth.

He takes the note and it reads "Can I have 12 sausages and a leg of lamb, please? The dog has money in its mouth, as well."

The butcher looks inside and, low and behold, there is a ten dollar note there. So he takes the money and puts the sausages and lamb in a bag, placing it in the dog's mouth. The butcher is
so impressed, and since it's about closing time, he decides to shut the shop and follow the dog.

So off he goes. The dog is walking down the street, when it comes to a level crossing; the dog puts down the bag, jumps up and presses the button. Then it waits patiently, bag in mouth, for the lights to turn. They do, and it walks across the road, with the butcher following him all the way.

The dog then comes to a bus stop, and starts looking at the timetable. The butcher is in awe as the dog stops a bus by pulling its left leg up and gets in it. The butcher follows the dog into
the bus. The dog then shows a ticket which is tied to its belt to the bus conductor.. The butcher is nearly fainting at this sight, so are the other passengers in the bus. The dog then sits near the driver's seat looking outside. As soon as the stop is in sight, the dog stands and wags its tail to inform the conductor. Then, without waiting for the bus to stop completely, it jumps out of the bus and runs to a house very close to the stop.

It opens the big Iron Gate and rushes inside towards the door. As it approaches the wooden door, the dog suddenly changes its mind and heads towards the garden. It goes to the window, and beats its head against it several times, walks back, jumps off, and waits at the door. The butcher watches as a big guy opens the door, and starts abusing the dog, kicking him and punching him, and swearing at him. The butcher surprised with this, runs up, and stops the guy.

"What in heaven's name are you doing? The dog is a genius. He could be on TV, for the life of me! "To which the guy responds: "You call this clever? This is the second time this week that this stupid dog's forgotten his key."

Moral of the story.....

You may continue to exceed onlookers expectations but shall always fall short of the boss' expectations.

Story of the Ant and the Grasshopper

Really a good one to read. well put to whoever who wrote this article!!!

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter. The Grasshopper thinks the Ant is a fool and laughs & dances & plays the summer away. Come winter, the Ant is warm and well fed. The Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

Come winter, the shivering Grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the Ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

TV1, TV2 & TV3 show up to provide pictures of the shivering Grasshopper next to a video of the Ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

The majority of the Malaysian Parliment are stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this poor Grasshopper allowed suffering so?

Khairy stages a demonstration in front of the Ant's house.

Nazri goes on a fast along with other Grasshoppers demanding that Grasshoppers be relocated to warmer climates during winter.

Most of the related people criticizes the Malaysia Government for not upholding the fundamental rights of the Grasshopper. The local news paper & the Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking support to the Grasshopper (many promising Heaven and Everlasting Peace for prompt support as against the wrath of God for non-compliance) .

Deputy minister immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard in the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and Grasshoppers.

Hishammudi n makes 'More Special Reservation ' for Grasshoppers in Educational Institutions & in Government Services.

The Ant; fined for failing to comply with 30% sharing and having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes; its home is confiscated by the Government and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by maju ---------.

Prime Minister announces to the whole Malaysia that this is part of the NEP and all have to respect, no question ask and have to follow it.

Many years later...

The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar company. 100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere in Malaysia because of loosing lot of hard working Ants and feeding the Grasshoppers, Malaysia is still a developing country!!!

All bcos the ANTS are still doing their work .............................

Jolyn's Birthday '09

Jolyn went through some bad times so decided to cheer her up for her birthday without realizing things look better for her. She got back together with Hurley. 

We meet in Rock Cafe, Sunway where Jared, me, Tommy, Stephie, Noeleen and Oma (hope it is correct) celebrate her birthday with her and Hurley. There was nothing special other than the cake cutting where Stephie chose a very delicious cake. Unfortunately we didn't have any tissue to serve the cake where Jared and Noeleen went to take plates from a store silently as  the store was not open =.=

After that we head off to Pyramid to chill off ^_^

Stephie's Birthday '09

Stephie celebrated her 19th birthday on the 11 August 2009. Before this we did a early celebration up in Genting. There was nothing special but just a simple celebration. We did the celebration at the stroke of midnight. But before that we were all in Rack cafe with her salon friends playing pool. 

After that we went home where Tommy present her her birthday cake. 

Up Premier

This is a belated post =.= Last month I went for the Up Premier in Tropicana City. It was unexpected as the night before I was in Mist, Bangsar with Tommy and Stephie. During the Up Premier, the main highlight was to fly Ean, Hitz.fm announcer up in the air using hot air balloon like in the movie Up. It was kinda cool. 

Tommy was there early while I went there later with Jolyn. It was pack but not that pack. When I arrive, there were question and answer session by JJ and Ean. There were a lot of small kids around who were very excited to win goodies from JJ and Ean. Without saying, Tommy won a lot of things too which include 2 passes to watch Up premiering on that day itself. I did try my luck too and won another 2 passes but we gave them back 1 pass as there were only 3 of us. When it was about time to fly Ean up, the sponsor which was an ice-cream company (sorry I forgot which ice cream it was) decided to give us free ice cream as they were there promoting their new flavor ice cream.

When it was time to fly Ean up, it took a while as the initial balloon they think can lift him up was not enough. In the end, there were 900 over balloons needed. It was cool where he was lifted off ground. JJ follow suit after Ean. Once they are done, everyone was given a change to go on the balloon. Oh ya, it is not the original size helium balloons but 5 times the normal size =.=

Tommy had fun going on the balloon. After his ride, we head off to have our lunch before hitting the cinema. The cinema was very comfortable ^_^ but cold =.= The movie was nice as it talk about life. When we are young, we have dreams of an adventure. As we grow old, our idea of adventure changes. The old man still thought his beloved wife's dream adventure is to be in a place far far away but it was the journey through life with him which was the adventure she cherish. 

But there is also a lesson learn in the movie too. Being too obsess with something can make you think unreasonable things. And to proof you are right, you end up making enemies and think that everyone is out to make you look bad. To live a paranoid life is miserable till you may think an innocent people is out to destroy you.

This is something I learn and hope I can get rid of my paranoid and learn not to care too much what people say about me but believe in myself. I need to give myself confidence back when I lost it all.
