Remembrances

I just had a sudden flash back to the days when I first came to KL to further my studies. I remember coming here alone and have to make new friends. I was scare that time but now thinking back, I do have many memories.

It was year 2001 when I came to KL to study. I took up a foundation year course instead of going through Form 6. On the first day of orientation, I was early and waited patiently in the lecture hall. Another girl then came in and sat at the same row as me but at the other end. We just sat quietly there till she came over to talk to me. We introduce ourselves and realize our names are nearly alike. It was then I met Merlye ^_^

It was since then we are inseparable. We go to the same class, we hang out together, we eat together and at times, I would stay over at her place ^_^ I was always scare to be lonely but I'm glad I met her. After that, I met Kean Leng, Hau Wei, Guoy, Kevin, Lik Chen, Suet Pei, Woon Shen, Yi King and lots more.

Over our foundation year, there were many interesting things that happen. Outings on Fridays, our Charity event where me and Merlye sang My Love by Westlife. Hahaha...I can remember that time where we both were singing and our friends were waving their handphones ^_^

I also remember we went to Sunway Ball together and also our foundation year graduation dinner. During Sunway Ball, we met in campus before heading to the venue. Kean Leng met us there but when he drove his Volvo, everyone stand aside for fear the way he drive. At that time, he just got his license and a tree came out of no where and hit him =.= The tree was injure but his car was completely fine ^_^ I think that stories went on for a while ^_^

But what I cherish most during those years were the time spend with Merlye during our class hours and also with Guoy who I spend with after class hours. Guoy was the person I went out dinner, yam cha and Friday nights outing with during that time. Besides that, I was normally in his room either hanging out with him and others or studying together and doing assignments together.

I do miss those days. Those were my young days where I'm innocent and naive. Things change now and I always think that bad things happen to me but I suddenly realize that there are plenty of good things that I have but I have forgot about it. So I will be posting a few blogs on my remembrance of my days when I started studying in KL.

A call from Australia

It was about 8 plus pm here when I got a call from an Australian number. The number start with +614 and I was like so familiar but cannot hit from where. Then the voice came and it was familiar but I do not know who. Then the caller say, "Aeon here." =.=

It was really a surprise that out of the blue Aeon call. I wonder why. Thought something urgent. Then he say, "I have a very LAME request." I was like =.='''''''' Lame request??? I ask him what lame request. He told me he just bought a D-Link router and called up for SOS. SOS??? 

He asked, "The username and password is admin and no need password?" I say correct. But somehow he cannot login to the router. Then I asked if connected through cable to set-up. He said yes. Then I asked him how is it connected. He say connected correctly as when use cable, the computer can connect to the internet but the wireless not working. But cannot login to set-up the wireless.

I then asked the modal of the router. He say a DI-524. DI-524 is one of the best router but not sold in Malaysia anymore :( The replacement modal for it is the DIR-300 but it isn't as good as the DI-524. Hokay, back to the story. He then inform me a very important piece of information. The router is second hand. =.= Meaning, the pervious user might have set a different login and password =.=

I then asked Aeon to hard reset the router where he has to poke to the hole between the LAN connection and the Antenna. He has to poke and hold it for 10 seconds to reset but he went and poke it for less than that. No wonder it didn't reset =.= After that, VIOLA!!! He can login to the router to set the wireless ^_^

I wonder if I should open a free line for tech-support for D-Link and maybe Logitech as well ^_^
