My Sister

My sister suddenly called me when I message her on MSN to tell me that her hand is bleeding. I thought it was a big cut but when she send me the photo, it is a small tiny cut. True enough what she measure, 5mm by 0.5mm. She measure it, yes.

After that she measure her hands to find one hand more swollen from the other due to squeezing the blood out. She then showed me the piece of tissue she used to press on the cut. I do not know what she was thinking but she had patterns made on the tissue with blood from her cut -_-"

She told me she intend to dry the tissue and put it in a plastic and send it back to me so I can admire it -_-" She can find things like this fascinating. Since she has no antiseptic to put on the cut, she pour some Oral-B, mouth wash on it since it contain antiseptic. Hahaha...Who would have thought about that ^_^ My sister ^_^

Shirley buying Clinique Products

Shirley has been complaining about her face for the pass I forgot how long ^_^ Finally she I took her to the booth to buy her products. If not, she would go to Guardian and look on her own which product she thinks is right then use it. If there is no improvement, she would start complaining again -_-"

This time, I took her to the beauty counter where the chances of them diagnosing her skin type wrongly is low. I recommend her to use Kose since I'm using it. I have been using Kose for 2 and a half years and it is really affective for my skin and it is at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, there is no Kose in United Kingdom. So we have to look at brands which is sold in United Kingdom. So, Shirley thought of Clinique since her mom uses it.

When we reached Parkson, there was no one attending the Clinique counter. So we walk round and approach other counters. We went to Estee Lauder. Whoa...the price is real high just for 5 facial products. It was bout RM700 for cleanser, toner, lotion, some other thing for the face and for eye bags. We thank the lady and walk to Clinique counter again but no one was there. Since it was closing time and Shirley didn't bring enough money, we decide to return the next day.

The very next day, when we went to the Clinique counter, the salesperson WASN'T there. This is too much. Shirley then ask the information counter on the wherabout of the salesperson for Clinique. The information guy went to look for the salesperson then came back to inform us the person is on the way. At that moment, I saw a GUY running down the escalator. I quicky told Shirley to pray hard that it
isn't a guy who is the salesperson. No offense but I find the guys working at the beauty counter very feminine. I'm a bit jealous for they are more feminine than me.

He then told us that he is having his lunch and he can't leave his lunch half eaten. He say he would come and entertain us once he is done with his lunch. So I head off to the Kose counter to get some products for my face. I have a stubborn pimple which I put COLGATE on and it just dried off but the lump still there. After purchasing my products, we went back to the Clinique counter
where the guy was already there at the booth.

He asked Shirley some questions to know her skin type. When he asked to see her face's pore size, he told Shirley not to be shy bout it and let him have a look and judge himself the size of her face's pores. He then cried out loud that Shirley has big pores. Shirley jump in shocked. Then he told Shirley that what he meant by big is medium. He then explain that big pores is like the moons surface where you can see from far.

After telling Shirley her skin type and the products to use, he wanted to recommend a hydration cream to keep her skin hydrated throughout the day. He then put some on Shirley's hand and wanted to put some for me but I declined. I'm already using Kose and I have no intention to change product. The other reason I decline was I fear he would rub the cream on my hand for me. This actually turn out true when he rub the cream on Shirley's hand even after she has rub all the cream on the hand. Hahaha...You should have seen Shirley's face ^_^

Once she has choosen her products which consist of mask, cleanser, anti-blemish, toner, lotion gel and eye's cream, the total was RM558. If she was to take the hydration cream also, it would cost a total of
RM650++. Whoa! I wonder who told her that the whole product is Rm150??? But the guy was kind. To keep customers happy after buying such expensive stuff, he gave her a free travel set, a bag, t-shirt and sample of the hydration cream for her to use.

Shirley felt a rip through her heart when she paid for the items. She was so excited to go home to use them to see results. Unfortunately, when she opened the anti-blemish package, the bottle was EMPTY. How can this happen??? What left for her to do now is to call the guy and get a replacement for it. I do hope she manage to get it today ^_^

Smart Kids

My weekends are normally spend at home relaxing but this weekend, 6-8 April 2007, I somehow had a different plan for my weekend. Shirley was given a job in the Smart Kids Event and she asked me if I would like to work during the event. Thinking of doing something different for a change, I agreed to it.

On Friday morning, me, Guoy and Shirley took the 6.30am KTM to Putra. We reached there bout 7.45am. It was real early and we were to be in PWTC by 8.30am to report in. Since we left without breakfast, we went looking for a place to eat our breakfast and wait for Merv to arrive. It was bout 8am when McDonalds opened and we went in and have our McDonalds breakfast =) We each ordered a Big Breakfast.

At 8.30am, we went to PWTC secretary room to report for work. It was then we met Mark. He is our so-called boss for we are under him for our duty. Our real boss is another person =) Mark then brief us on our job. We are
to hand
out
survey forms for the visitors to filled and ask them to take the form to our booth to do a lucky draw. It may sounds easy but it was hell. We have to reach a quota of 5000 surveys in 3 days. Stress but we are all fired up. Then we met another girl, her name is May and she was in our team to hand out survey forms on the lower floor. There are another 3 girls who are handling the upper floor.

On the first day, we manage to get 700++ surveys. We had some pushback but we did our best. While we were waiting for our briefing before we go home, we overheard some conversation which wasn't nice to hear at all. We ignore it and waited till briefing starts to discuss the problems we faced for the days event. It was after that, we met Joel and Joanna. It was a surprise for me to see them but not to Shirley for she knew they were cooperating for organizing the event.

On the second day we decided to drive there instead. We ordered McDonalds breakfast from McDonalds drive-thru in Subang and ate along the way. When we reach there, we met up with the others and we plan our strategies on how to get more surveys for the day. This time, we push harder to get more survey forms to be filled. We were so into it that we didn't realize time. It was not until Guoy told us to hurry and take our lunch for food was finishing only did we knew it was lunch time. When me and Shirley went for our lunch break,
there was no food left.
We had to wait for them to bring in more food. How on earth can there be shortage of food? No one knows. We continued working till closing time. At the end of the day, we collected 1200++ surveys. We are still 3000 surveys behind our target.

As usual, we have our briefing on how and what to do on the last day to push harder to meet our target. After briefing, we had to stay back to help stick stickers. We were very efficient. We were fast. We were working faster than the sticker cutters and the others who were sticking stickers. Once finish, me, Guoy, Shirley, Merv, Mark and Vincent (another of our so-called boss) head for supper in SS2. We relax a bit and then head home to prepare for the battle on the last day.

On the last day, when we arrived there, we quickly took the forms and pass out to visitors who are there queueing to go into the fair. Since they are bored waiting, it is a good time to pass them forms and let them know bout the lucky draw. Guoy stayed down stairs informing the visitors bout the lucky draw and pass them the forms while the others went to set up booth. The response was fantastic. We had 4 other people helping us for that day also. When the doors to the fair was opened, there was a sudden rush to the booth to do the lucky draw. I had to go back to help at the booth for they can't manage the sudden rush. It was hectic the first 3 hours straight.

The rush continued till evening when it slowed down. By then we have hit more than yesterday's figure but we are worried we can't make 5000 surveys and we continue to approach visitors to do surveys. It was the busiest day and the most hectic day. At the end of the day, we manage to collect nearly 2000 surveys which gave us the total of 3600++ surveys collected in 3 days. We didn't hit target but we had some fun along the way.

We collected our pay at the end of the day and we went out for our supper in Williams. It was only me, Guoy, Shirley, Mark, Vincent and Stephen (another head) who went for supper. Merv went home for he stayed over at my place the other night for it would be too late when he reach home after overtime. During our supper, we talk and joke. We make fun of each other for being blur for we work hard the pass 3 days and we are all lack of rest. After a nice meal, we head home.

It is a memorable experience. I wish I can work with them again one day.

My Birthday

My birthday falls on the 16 March which was one month 1 week 2 days ago. It wasn't much of a celebration but it was a memorable one =) I had plan to celebrate with my friends but most of them couldn't make it for they are working. I was disappointed and didn't bother to plan anything.

Unexpectedly, Shirley went and plan a small celebration for me. She called a few friends who was free and those called whoecver they met. We then went to William's for dinner. Wee Kiat came with a birthday cake for me =) I didn't expect to have a cake ^o^

On our way to William's near Taman Mayan, Kelana Jaya, my sister called me from Australia. I was shocked and very happy. Then she passed the phone to my cousins in Australia and to my uncle and aunt there. I was happy. Out of the sudden, they started singing the birthday song for me over the phone =) It was so exciting and I cried happy tears. It has been a long time since I was this happy for my birthday. An unexpected good celebration ^_^

When we were in William's, after dinner, my friends decided to sing the birthday song there. I was embarassed. But the crowd at that stall join in the singing and cheer after the song ^o^ It was a great feeling =) I was speechless. I then cut the cake and everyone have a slice and I save the last slice for William for a nice dinner =)

After dinner, we retreat back to my place where we played cards till nearly 3am in the morning. It was a fun day and I had a lot of fun. I never imagine it would be a great celebration since I decide to not held a big celebration ^_^
