My Valentine's Day

This year's Valentine's Day is just like usual. I would be waiting for the one person to take me out but it would never happen. That person would rather be out with his friends or maybe lately with a bunch of girls who works with him. But at least I have something else to do which brightens up my day at least.

I was asked by my friend to help out with her Saturday English classes as it is a replacement class. Normally I would be helping out on weekdays for the secondary students but today is special. I would be teaching the primary students. Initially I was suppose to help teach primary 5 and 6 students but last minute, I was asked to teach primary 1 too. At first I thought it would be very hard but in the end, it was proven otherwise.

I got up early as the primary 1 students would come at 8.30am. There were 4 adorable girls and boys. They are so talkative and full of stories to tell you. As I went through their lessons, they have so much story that is related to the day's topic. The energy in them cheers me a lot. Each of them were like trying to gain my attention by calling me to listen to their stories. While there is this one boy who is so adorable who tries to scare me and make me jump ^_^ 

After the morning session, I have a few hours break before my afternoon classes with the primary 5 and 6. It was about 3pm when I start the primary 5 class. The students came in looking at me as I'm a stranger to them. After warming them up, they were all very fun to teach. They are energetic once they warm up to me. They too have a lot of questions but are more quiet. I think it is due to shyness. Once of the assignments that they are to do for the day was to create a poster where they end up taking more than an hour. It seems so hard to ask them to stop when they were so into creating their poster. In the end, it was fun being with them.

Right after the primary 5, I have the primary 6 class. This is a smaller class as there were only 7 students but one of them was equavalent to 2-3 student. This is because he is so active, energetic and not easy to gain his attention. He was talking and interrupting me every time I'm explaining something. He would jump from chair to table like Spiderman ^_^ It was cute but somehow I manage to make him do what he is to do. While there is a girl who is quiet and another 2 girls who are adorable and interact in the class. There is this other boy who loves to talk and talks a lot. He has like millions of stories waiting to share with me. 

But in the end of the class, it was fun and my mood was better. To feel being appreciated as a teacher is a very rewarding feeling. To see them learn and want to learn more is amazing. In future I would have a chance to be with them again. I do hope I can make it more fun and enjoyable ^_^ At least it took my mind off a useless person for the day ^_^

Chinese New Year Visiting

Like every other year, King would be the leader in organizing the Chinese New Year home visiting. This year is different for me as I am now in the working world compare to last year ^_^ But, King who is brilliant (haih make him feel happy) in organizing it, manage to gather a few of us to go for our annual home visiting. The day was set to be on Thursday where we would gather at his house at 3pm. 

I remember on that day, I was busy with my family till afternoon. Senan and Kean Leng came to pick me from my place. Since my parents was at home, they asked me to pass them their "Hong Pau" (Elaine really sorry didn't take for you). But before that, Elaine called me to inform me that the host, Mr King is in 1 Utama. Oh my...What is our host thinking but he manage to reach back in time and not let Elaine wait outside for him ^_^

When we arrive at King's place, Jeff was there with his girlfriend, Ester, King sitting comfortably inside while Elaine came to greet us at the door =.= I wonder who is the host now =.= Woon Shen couldn't join us as he is the host at his house as his relatives were there. So Woon Shen asked Elaine to help him collect Angpaus ^_^ Like usual, King's parents are not at home so King was the one who was giving out the Angpaus. I wonder now if it is from King's parents or King is himself as he is capable of hiding a wife in his huge house ^_^

After sitting a while at King's place, we took a quick picture which came out quite nice before heading to Jeff's new place. We then arrange ourselves to fit in 2 cars so save some parking space and mostly to save Mother Nature from pollution (or can say Petrol very expensive). 

Jeff's new place is so far and the security is so tight. Finally we reach his mansion which is 3-storey high. I can't imagine how big the house it (but Merlye don't worry, you house in Cheras is still bigger ^_^). We went to the highest floor to chill out. Jeff then open a bottle of red wine and we just sit and chat and watch TV while we were there. Jeff's mum couldn't stop bring food to entertain us. I think it is due to her future daugther-in-law is there so have to ensure she is well taken care of ^_^ After chilling a while, we then left and head off to Kean Leng's place. Just before we left, Jeff's dad gave us some advice on how to be healthy and stay healthy. 

As usual, there is a picture taken in Jeff's place before we head off to the next stop. When we reach Kean Leng's place, his whole family was in and it was so happening. We just sat with his parents and talk. Then Jason, Kean leng's brother show us their family album using Xbox360 Avatar. I was surprise how identical the avatar look-a-like. The one resemble most is Kean Leng with his Men in Black post ^_^ Then we got together to make King's, Senan's and mine =.= How did I be the unlucky one to modal =.= Should have use Elaine and make it look funky ^_^

We spend a long time at Kean Leng's place but have to rush off to Senan's place as our last stop is dinner in Woon Shen's place. It seems there is a surprise there for us. So we rush off to Senan's place and forgot about taking a picture at Kean Leng's place =.= Must blame Elaine for not remembering as she is the photographer ^_^

At Senan's place, his dog came and greet us. Elaine was so delighted when she see the dog. I think Elaine can be like Shirley, say the dog more handsome than human =.= (Oops) It seems that Senan's mum just got back from work when we arrive. His mother than bought out some cookies which is quite nice and also easy to make. One of it is Cereals coated with chocolate while the other one is almond nuts and raisins coated with white chocolate. Can't imagine a simple recipe can make a delicous cookie biscuit. Somehow, something can say funny happen while at Senan's place.

Senan's mum came out to give us Angpau. We wish her Happy New Year when she give us Angpau but somehow, Elaine was miss out. She was hiding behind King and she thinks that Senan's mum thought she was married so skip her. Hahaha...So King, remember to share half since it could be your fault she was miss out. But somehow, Elaine can be consider married la ^_^ Hehehe

It was about 7pm that we left Senan's house to head off to Woon Shen's place. Unfortunately, we have one huge problem. No one remembers how to go to Woon Shen's house =.= Even King, his very best buddy =.= But Jeff came to the rescue by using his GPS. As Jeff get the map out on his GPS, we waited for Jeff by the road side. Suddenly a VIOS pass by with the plate BJJ and King was like, "Isn't that Jeff's car?" I was like can't be as I saw another car behind (Jeff's car was somewhere behind us at that time). King quickly chase after the car with confidence to catch up with it to see that it is Jeff. But that car was going at a very fast speed. It seems weird how come Jeff is driving that fast when we were to follow his lead.

Finally Senan call Jeff and ..... We were chasing the wrong car. It became the joke of the night that we have to be careful to follow the right car and not go after a BJJ car that look like Jeff's car. We stop by the side of the road and waited for Jeff to come to lead the way. But even with the GPS, we were lost in Klang =.= In the end, we have to call Woon Shen to save us. It was raining when we reach there and there at his house is the Fatman's Steamboat Lorry. Woon Shen's family have rent the lorry for a night for dinner. So our dinner menu was "Lok Lok" yummy ^_^ 

We took what we want to eat then share out to eat. It was quite filling. But Elaine didn't eat that much and she wasn't full but shy to go eat so much =.= (Don't kill me Elaine) After dinner, we start our gambling session. It seems the luck is at Woon Shen's side, Kean Leng's side and a bit on King. They were the one winning. I gamble a bit with them when they play Blackjack. Unfortunately, our dealer Woon Shen was not allowed to shuffle the cards as he got Blackjack 3 times in a row where the Ace of spade was always present =.=

In the end, some of us lost a lot, some lose a little, some win small while one person win big =.= I think you can guess who is the big winner but you are wrong. I can say the big winner is either Kean Leng or King. Hahaha...Just before we left, we took a picture with the Lok Lok lorry as a remembrance that we ate Lok Lok from the Lok Lok truck in Woon Shen's house ^_^

It was a wonderful day as it is hard to meet up with them. But I feel so happy just having our annual outing. Thinking back, we have been doing this for the past 8 years. I do hope we can still do this in the coming years but maybe a bit difference. I do wish that next year Merlye would be back to join us as this year she is in Kuching resting and preparing for her second child ^_^ Next year it would be more 'Yuet Lau' ^_^ King and Woon Shen faster find a girlfriend so that Elaine can get marry faster then we can go after her for Angpau ^_^
