Yi King's Birthday

Woon Shen called me one day and asked me to decide where to eat to celebrate King's birthday. He say location around Sunway and Subang. I was like, umm... hard task as not sure where is the best place. But thank goodness as King himself have selected a place ^_^ It is a Japanese restaurant in Northpoint, Midvalley. I do not know why but it seems we are all cool with Japanese and I think I'm one of those Japanese food freaks too ^_^

It was then decided to meet on Friday at 7pm at NinJa Jones Izakaya, Northpoint, Midvalley. It was raining that evening and I got my colleague Lucas to drop me off. I was so scare I'm the last but thank goodness I'm not. Elaine was about to kill me as I say I would be heading there early but I waited for Lucas to drop me and got stuck in the jam.

The last to arrive was our businessman Jeff. He travels a lot for one thing but to me, he is successful. Same goes to King also. It seems he got promoted so it was double celebration for the night. Woon Shen came with his girlfriend, Carine (hope I spell it correctly) and they are a loving couple. The table setting was nice as we got a room for our little function ^_^

Elaine was like a leader as she has been there before. So Elaine lead us to what to order. Along with her, King also been there before I think and was telling us to order. We each order a dinner set then King and Elaine decide on the side dishes. Woon Shen was funny as we decide on how the Kobe beef was to be cook. Everyone agree on medium cook while Woon Shen keep saying well cook =.= So majority wins and the way Woon Shen make sure his meat was well done was funny. He took the one at the bottom and left it there to be cook longer on the hot plate.

The food was fantastic and we were all bloated. Elaine and I then went to the toilet. I was surprise at the toilet. It is huge but mostly because the toilet bowl was imported from Japan. It has those button to wash your butt and dry your butt ^_^ This is the first time I see it. I know I sound like a 'sakai' but I just can't help it. When we went back to our room, I just told the others and the 3 guys went and check it out =.=

After a wonderful meal, when the bill arrive, King paid for it =.= I was thinking we are the one to treat the birthday boy but it became vice versa. He claims that he is promoted and he is the one that should pay for the meal =.= This gives me a headache as I do not know what to get him for his birthday =.= Doesn't matter, that one leave to Elaine to think. Just before we left, we took a group picture with the Ninjas and the swords.

Our New Trainer

It is one of those days where I finish early and wait for Lucas and Eugene as they only can go back at 6.30pm. Since training was in progress, I went and join them after work. Eugene was about done as he left with a few more mails but decided to go and join training also. They were trainng webcams. So, Eugene and I went up and join training.

Once in the training room, Daniel just ask Eugene why not try training the new people as Eugene is known as the webcam expert. So Eugene took up the role and I became their modal in the class where he capture picture and video of me to show the class about the webcam software =.=

After training, I wait for Eugene a while then we head back home. The journey home is always good as it is filled with laughters. Before this I remember when Eugene tried driving manual up the sloop and the car roll down in sloop when he tried to do balancing. Hahaha... We laugh non-stop that time. But now he is pro in it. But for tonight, Lucas was driving real fast and Eugene actually scream. Hahaha... He is scare and this is the first time I see it also. Hahaha... Now we know that Eugene is really a slow and cool driver ^_^

Penang Trip

This is one rare occasion that I took leave from work. Hahaha...Reason : Father's birthday ^_^ It is a must to take leave to go home since they are not coming down to KL. Besides that, my sister have an interview with Intel, Penang. So it make it a good coincident to take leave to go home ^_^

I went home on Sunday after lunch and then head off to Penang as my sister's interview is on Monday. This give us the advantage as not to worry to get stuck in the jam when heading to Penang and get to sleep more ^_^ My dad book a room in Evergreen hotel at Gurney Drive. It is one of our favourite hotel I think as this is the hotel that my dad would book when we go to Penang.

When we reach Penang, it was raining and I'm the unfortunate one driving =.= Somehow, I manage to get to the hotel to check-in before heading out for dinner. Once we freshen up, we went to Pasar Pulau Tikus for Lok Lok, pork satay and other delicious food ^_^

After a nice meal, back to the hotel where I conquer the internet line before heading to bed. I end up sleeping with my sister and her toys =.= A polar bear, Slyvester and her favourite dog, Maggie.

The next morning I was awaken by my sister who got ready for her interview. But lucky me as I get to go for free buffet breakfast with my dad as both my mum and sister didn't want to eat. I had fun eating but there was not much variety. But I was happy with what I had. Once breakfast is done, my parents and sister head off to Intel while I happily on my laptop and went online ^_^

It was a rainy morning and it was cold. I manage to take some picture from the room window. The scenary was beautiful as I hardly get to look at mountains in KL and the way it rain on the island and in the big city is different ^_^

It was lunch when my parents and sister came back. It was check-out time. So pack everything and went for lunch. We went to a shop known as Eden for lunch then went to Queensbay Mall to shop. It is my first time there while it is the million time for my sister as it is her hang out place when she was doing her internship in Intel.

We shop a while then my sister went to send a DHL package to a friend. She went off to send while I walk round with my mother. It was a dull 2 hours as I couldn't find the things I wanted. In the end, I only bought 2 t-shirts for casual wear. It was around that time when my sister finish her errand and my uncle and aunty came to join in for dinner.

Dinner was at TGI Fridays. I do not know wht occasion but it was to celebrate something. We went in and when the waitress asked if it is anyone's birthday, my uncle pointed at my sister. Hahaha... She was praying hard that they would forget but it seems they didn't. At the end of the delicious meal, they came and sang and did their traditional TGI Friday's birthday celebration. My cousin Edwin went and join in the fun as she accompany my sister to stand on the chair and sing song.

At the end of dinner, it was late and we head home but got stuck on the bridge. We have no idea what caused it but it took double the time to go home Taiping than the usual one and a half hours. It was a fantastic trip and it was enjoyable since I haven't had such holiday for a while.

Purple Cane Tea Restaurant

Have you tried food cooked with tea leaves? My friend, Vivian, took me there for dinner one night and that was when I first discover this place. This restaurant called Purple Cane Tea Restaurant is located at Lot LG 206, Lower Ground Floor, The Gardens, Midvalley City. I think the name is popular as it sells tea leaves.

I was surprise that the food taste nice when the right tea leaves are added to the cooking. Many would think that there would be a thick taste of the tea but there isn't. The tea leaves is added in the right amount which makes the food taste delicious. The food presentation is also beautiful. After that meal, I decided to take family there to try and they were amaze that there is such restaurant.

Since I was in Midvalley recently with my sister, we went there for dinner. We sat down and look through the menu. For me, I would always order soup. I look through their variety of soup which includes some tea leaves in the soup content. The way they present the soup is also so cute. After contemplating for a while, I decided on Chicken Herbal soup.

After deciding on soup, we continue with the main dishes. We ordered Chicken Cashewnut, Homemade beancurd and Gai Lan. Chinese tea leaves are added when being cook. I forgot what tea was use for each dish. I only know how to eat and enjoy food ^_^ Once we are done with the main dishes, we ordered our drinks which is Jasmine tea.

When the tea arrive, it came in two pots. One is diluted while the other is very thick. My sister was smart as she poured the wrong pot and had a very thick cup of Jasmine tea. Not a bad experience for her due to her carelessness. Hahaha...When the beancurd arrive, we were served rice with tea. This one I manage to see how they cook it. The wash the rice then they use tea to cook the rice. What tea leaves? That is still a mystery ^_^

After a beautiful meal, we are both content and happy ^_^

Quote Of The Day!

'Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply.
If you give her SPERM, she'll give you a BABY.
If you give her a HOUSE, she'll give you a HOME.
If you give her GROCERIES, she'll give you a MEAL.
If you give her a SMILE, she'll give you her HEART.
She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.'

So - if you give her
CRAP, you will get a bucket full of SHIT.

Old Parents

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window. The Father asked his Son, "What is this?" The Son replied, "It is a crow". After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?" The Son said, "Father, I have just now told you it's a crow". After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, "What is this?" At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff, "It's a crow, a crow, a crow". A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, "What is this?" This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an oldtattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-

"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated. I rather felt affection for my innocent child."

While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 timesand when today. The Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed. So... If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents.

From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me.They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today."

Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave."

This Is How We Miss Out Something Called 'LIFE'

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle fascinated by its color and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just five words.

QUESTIONS :
1. What were the five words ?
2. What is the implication of this story?

ANSWER :
The husband just said 'I am with you Darling'.
The husband's totally unexpected reaction is a proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle away, this would not have happened.. No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her. If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world. 'A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step'. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears. And you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think.

MORAL OF THE STORY:
This story is really worth reading. ..... Sometimes we spend time in asking who is responsible or whom to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. By this way we miss out something called L.I.F.E

The Charlie Schultz Philosophy

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.
These are no second-rate achievers.
They are the best in their fields.
But the applause dies..
Awards tarnish.
Achievements are forgotten.
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special!
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?

The lesson:
The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials..
The most money...or the most awards.
They simply are the ones who care the most.
I passed this on to those people who have made a difference in my life.

Can Ants Be Dangerous???

Never have I thought that ants can be sooooooooooooooo dangerous. Check out the couple of incidents and they are really shocking.

Incident One:

A little boy died because surgeons found ants in his brain! Apparently this boy fell asleep with some sweets in his mouth or with some sweet stuff beside him. Ants soon got to him and some ants in fact crawled into his ear which somehow managed to go to his brain. When he woke up, he did not realize that ants had gone to his head. After that, he constantly complained about itchiness around his face. His mother brought him to a doctor, but the doctor could not figure out what was wrong with him. He took an X-ray of the boy and to his horror, he found a group of live ants in his skull. Since the ants were still alive, the doctor could not operate on him because the ants were constantly moving around. The boy finally died. So please be careful when leaving food stuff near your bed or when eating in bed. This might attract ants. Most importantly, NEVER you or your child eat sweets before going to bed. You or your child might attract ants while you are asleep.

Incident Two:

Another similar incident happened in a hospital in Taiwan . This man was warded in the hospital and was constantly warned by the nurses not to leave food stuff by his bedside because there were ants about. He did not heed their advice. Ants finally got to him. His family members said that the man constantly complained about headaches. He died and a post mortem or autopsy was done on him. Doctors found a group of live ants in his head. Apparently, the ants had been eating bits of his brain. So friends, better be safe than sorry. Never leave food stuff beside your bed you when you go to sleep.
